Science 2 Startup

S2S is a relaunch of University Research and Entrepreneurship Symposium (URES), an annual event from 2006-2013 that quickly became a seminal conference for the biotech community. The event will be an all-day symposium featuring participating universities’ most innovative therapeutics currently in development with the potential to form a new generation of startups. This year, we have received ~200 submissions from leading institutions around the world and will feature the top 12 to present at our event. The attendees will largely consist of prominent VC firms in the Boston / Cambridge area, executives from leading startups in the area, as well as senior executives from pharma companies.

Over the last 6 years, investigators from universities including Boston University, Brown, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, MIT, NYU, Purdue, Rensselaer Polytechnic, Tufts, UCLA, University of Kansas, University of Pennsylvania, University of Wisconsin, Yale, and more, presented their startup ideas to entrepreneurs and venture capitalists at URES.
